Darcie Ann Godin

Darcie was the kind of person who could light up any room with her smile and energy. She loved to laugh, celebrate life, and be surrounded by the people she loved most. Darcie loved to cook and was always finding a reason to bring people together. Whether it was a cookout, a family get-together, or just a regular day, she made sure no one left hungry and everyone felt welcome. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and they will carry her love with them every day.

Darcie Godin, 49, of Warren, MI, passed away in Ann Arbor, MI, on 04-24-2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Alpena, MI in 1976 to Richard Godin and Shirley Lechel.

Darcie met the love of her life, Sean Kabacinski, in 2022. To Darcie, Sean was more than her fiancé. He was someone she truly loved, her best friend, and someone who meant the world to her.

Darcie was preceded in death by Richard and Shirley and is survived by Paige (Patryck), Cole (Brianna), Alanys, Vanessa (Ullysses) and her 10 grandchildren.

Darcie will always be remembered for her contagious laugh, big personality, and the way she could make anyone feel at home. She will be deeply missed every day, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
