David Robert Bruegel, age 65, of Williamston, Michigan passed away on Sunday June 17, 2018 at his residence. David was born April 24, 1953 in East Lansing, Michigan the son of Robert and Mary (Campbell) Bruegel.
David was a member of Old St. Mary Catholic Church in Greek Town and the Irish American Club of Detroit. He was a law partner for many years at Dickinson Wright and practiced law in Mason, Michigan at the firm of Noud & Noud. David was an undergrad at Albion College and received his law degree from Notre Dame. David loved to golf in his younger years; he loved to travel, especially trips to Mackinac Island and Chicago where he enjoyed the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; and he always enjoyed politics. David always loved the time he was able to spend with his trusted companion dog Jammer. He leaves behind His wife; Heather, daughter; Annaliese Bruegel, son; Peter Bruegel, Margaret Bruegel, previous wife and mother to their children, stepsons; Ed and Nicholas Schulte, sister; Mary Sue (Dave) Hyslop and a nephew; Rob Hyslop. His parents and a nephew, Scott Hyslop, preceded him in death.
Visitation for David will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 21, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Muehlig Funeral Chapel of Ann Arbor (403 S 4th Avenue), The funeral service will 11:00 AM Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel. David will be laid to rest in a private graveside service in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery of Southfield.
