Dear Susan,
I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you, on the passing of your father. He was a larger than life figure
while growing up in my home. Your Grandfather, Andy & Grandmother Marguerite were my very dear Great Aunt and Uncle. I have such special memories of growing up with them in my life. I was sent your father's book for my birthday, and have a story to share with you and hopes that you may have some for me as well, if you'd like that. I am a small town school teacher living in Michigan yet. I would love to hear more about my our Great Grandmother and Grandfather ( Matheson) if you would be willing to share. I would so love to pass on personal stories to my own children, that your Dad- a great story teller, may have shared with you.

With love,

Dear Susan, Please accept my condolences on your father's death. In your quote in the paper you talked about trying to help him "let go". That is so difficult to do and so courageous. Be proud of your dad for the man he was and the daughter that you are.
Fondly, Diane Nielsen.

Susan and Bruce, so sorry I missed the service as I was in Germany. Otherwise, I surely would have been there to pay my respects to one of the greatest gentleman I have ever known and truly a boyhood hero of mine. He always so kind to me and I shall never forget him. God Bless.

Don Lund was my friend from Glacier Hills Retirement Community. I am a volunteer there and spoke to him about baseball on many visits. He was always positive and always had time to remember his experiences with me. Everybody liked him. God Bless You, Matthew Horner

being at football games in the BIG HOUSE and bowl games with uncle Don and aunt Betty will be in my memories forever. I'll remember the times we had around the karaoke machine in California. My prayers go with Susan and Bruce and the kids on this sad day.

PLAYING BALL WITH LEGENDS - is a captivating story and the stories of Don Lund by local author Jim Irwin. The cover photo shows Don being greeted by Montreal Royal teammate Jackie Robinson following a Don Lund home run. Irwin notes that the Brooklyn Dodgers bought both of their contracts the following day (April 12, 1947). Don Lund - a Consummate Gentleman.

Bruce, sad to hear of the passing of your father-in-law. He was a dedicated Michigan Man for sure. He helped me transfer my season football tickets to my docter at St.Joe's. He will be missed by all, and I'm sure he will be standing by BO's side.
