Dotty was indeed a great Aunt to me. I do miss her very much, I'd like to talk to her about some pictures I have and who might be in them. She and I danced in her living room /dining room area. She would show me some and I would show her some line dances. She helped take care of Marlena and Benjamin. She once picked up Ben from daycamp and she took him with her to Metzgers with another lady friend. She gave Marlena her first sled and tricycle. She would accaisionally make me a grilled cheese,or egg salad sandwich.

Randy and I went to see a football game at Michigan stadium, parking at her house and wearing garbage bags in case of rain.
I'll miss her for long to come!

So many wonderful memories of Dotty,as one of the best step aunts I could ever have. Ray was my step father. She is an angel looking over us all. God Bless you and your family Michael.

Dotty was our favorite aunt.  She and Ernie would come out and offer to weed our flowers when she was cruising to visit with people on the weekend.  Dotty and your Dad were a hoot when we played ucre at Elvin and Lena's... I can't remember laughing so hard.  Then could she dance!  She was my escort at Lucille's out on Michigan Avenue.  Dotty was "game" her entire life; parking cars on her front lawn during U of M games.  She crocheted toys and gifts for others.  She talked and helped everyone; she was a breath of fresh air to all who knew her.  We will miss her, but will carry her uplifting spirit life long. Mike & Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike you are right your Mom was the best, always doing for others with a smile,never complaining. Her and I use to have so much fun just hanging out together, she sure was one special lady, that i was blessed to have known. She could cook up some mean Macaroni and Tomato's  :-) see she's still making me smile.. Take comfort in that Mike, she touched so many lives in all kinds of ways.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you're doing okay in this tough time.

Dotty, must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, but start out bravely with a gallant smile. And for her sake and in her name, live on and do all the things the same. Feed not on your loneliness and empty days, but fill each working hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer and in turn she will comfort you and hold you near. 
And never, never be afraid to die for she is waiting for you in the sky!

My Mom was the best Mom that I could have ever wished for.  She was ALWAYS there for Me.

Mike, I am so glad we were able to be there for your mom with love and support. I have so many wonderful memories of her and all the laughs we shared, she became such a big part of my life. Her smile will always remain in my heart. Indeed she was a special lady in our life. May the memories you have shared with her over the years bring you comfort and a peace of mind that she has her angel wings now and is flying free.

I will never forget how Dotty brought much joy to my dad.   My grand daughter, Evelyn Grace, loves the baby blanket Dotty made for her.   Dotty was a very hard worker, a very generous and kind lady.  She made Dad grin.  I will never forget the care she took to make him comfortable. May she rest in peace.
