

She was a wonderful woman, beloved wife, dedicated mother, sister, aunt and an especially proud grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters Teddy (George) Sotiropoulos and Georgia (Alex) Pozios, brother Sotiri Kugeares and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Termachos (Terry) and her sisters Marika, Eleni and Susana.
Eva was born in Nemea, Greece on July 17, 1934 to the late George and Zoe Kugeares.
She emigrated to the USA on April 17, 1958. She arrived in New York aboard the Olympia and made her way shortly thereafter to Ann Arbor. She began working at the SugarBowl restaurant in Ann Arbor before starting her career as a seamstress for Barth Alterations in Ann Arbor. She was a successful and talented master seamstress who was passionate to provide her customers with exceptional alterations and service.
She met and married her husband Terry at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the two were married on August 28, 1965. They were married for 50 years before his passing in 2015. They raised two wonderful daughters and were blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren- Theo, Max, Melina and Leonidas. She always prayed for them and wished them success and happiness throughout their lives.
She was full of wisdom, love and kindness and was an example to her family of how to care for others and be a decent human being.
She was an amazing cook, enjoyed keeping a garden full of flowers and vegetables, loved a good manicure and treasured spending time with her family.
She was a long-time parishioner of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. She served as President of the Philoptochos Society in 1966-1967 and over the years volunteered for many other church activities such as the Greek festivals.
She had a strong foundation of faith and this dedication guided her everyday life. She lived as a compassionate, caring and loving person who always showed kindness and love to others.
She will be remembered as a generous woman who always believed in God’s grace and love and was comforted that God would guide and support her throughout her life. May her memory be eternal.
Services will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Ann Arbor on Monday April 21, 2025.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
