Genevieve Victoria Wright

She was born on August 12, 1922 in Copenhagen, Denmark to Jacob and Victoria (Mirka) Gala. Gen and her family emigrated to the United States on May 30, 1931. Several years later, they moved to Saline MI, where she graduated from Saline High School in 1941. She would briefly work at Ypsilanti State Hospital. During the war, she went to work at King Seely as an inspector. When the war ended, she went to work at Argus Cameras. After 16 years, she went to work at Bendix Areospace where she retired after 20 years. On June 21, 1947, she married her husband Francis (Joe) V. Wright.

Survivors include daughters, Jan Wright of Ann Arbor, and Judy Wright of Florida, two grandchildren, Sara (Lesperance) Godwin and Jeffrey Lesperance both of Florida. One great grandson, Jeffrey Fugate of Florida. Two sisters-in-law, Patricia Naylor and Bernice Delaney. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Predeceased are her husband, parents, and siblings. Visitation will be at Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Monday, December 19th from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 1:30PM. Following the service, her burial will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery.
