

Geraldine Rose passed away on December 17, 2010. Gerry was cared for in her final days by her family, the loving staff at Huron Woods and Hospice of St Joseph Mercy Hospital .She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Rose in 2002. Gerry was born and raised in New York City on May 2, 1922 by Max and Anne Geller. She was a bright, beautiful, talented woman. In her life time Gerry was a night club singer, college student, a Marine Sargent, wife, mother and grandmother, antique dealer and a good friend to many. Gerry met and married Billie Rose while serving in the Marines. They were married for 58 years. Our father always said he got brains, beauty and class in his wife. Billie and Gerry moved to Detroit following the war. They had five children together. Gerry shared a passion for gardening and antiques with her husband. After her children were grown, Gerry used her extensive knowledge of antiques to start selling them at shows around the state. She was in business for 15 years, with Billie joining her in the business after the first year. Gerry is survived by her children: Michael Anne, Kerry, Bruce, Steven, and Kristen, as well as her children's spouses Denise, Laura, and Joel. She is also survived by her six grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28th at 2 p.m. at Muehlig Funeral Chapel (403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor, MI). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice in honor of Geraldine. Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
