Irene Peterson

Peterson, Irene of Ann Arbor, Michigan died October 20, 2015 at 96 years of age. She was born on August 31, 1919 the daughter of Daniel and Mary Vargo. She married Henry Peterson in 1946; together they raised their three children and lived happily in Florida and Michigan. Sadly Henry preceded her in death on January 7, 2010 after 63 years of marriage. She is survived by her three children; Judith S. Powers, Vickie Peterson Michalak and David H. (Randae) Peterson, grandchildren; Marc and Jeffrey Powers, Katlan and David Michalak, and Brianne Peterson Vue, great grandchildren; Justin, Dorothy and Jacob Powers, Michael and Reese Powers and Ebben and Bryer Vue, sister; Velma Sarkody. Irene was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Daniel and Alex Vargo. The family will receive friends at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 11:00 a.m. Irene will then be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Glen Eden Cemetery in a private burial service.
