

Josef Walter Kolling, of Ann Arbor, MI, passed away on February 22nd, 2014 in Roseville, MI, at the age of 28. Joe is survived by his parents, Josef and Barbara, his sister Christina, brother-in-law Adam Carlson, grandparents Josef and Magdalena Kolling, Barbara Franke, Otto Franke (Rose), girlfriend Amy Cirocco, great-aunt Godi , Aunts, Uncles and many loving cousins. The Kolling, Franke, Carlson and Cirocco families, co-workers, Tau Kappa Epsilon brothers and many friends mourn this devastating loss. Joe loved life passionately, had a smile that would brighten any room, and was able to see the best in every person he met. Joe was passionate about soccer, basketball, gaming, cooking, the family cottage, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, friends, and his dog Ripp. Joe graduated from Community High School (‘03) and earned his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in December of 2009. Joe was employed as a Centralized Dispatcher at Waste Management, Inc., and was in his 5th year at the company. His family and friends will be celebrating his life at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel in Ann Arbor. Friday Visitation 2-8pm, Saturday Visitation 9am until time of service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to a charity of your choice. Please inform the Kolling family of your donation, so they may take comfort from the reach of Joe’s memory.Donations may also be made to the Washtenaw Area Council for Children. All donations made online at http://www.washtenawchildren.org/ in the next month will be designated for Anti-Bullying Programs, a cause that was always dear to Joe.
