Kittel, Kent D. Northville, MI

Age 70, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of John N. and Margaret (Gafner) Kittel. Kent was a 1967 graduate of Pioneer High School. He later went on to join the electrical apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was an active and proud member of the Union Local 252. He carried on a Kittel family tradition of working as an electrician and being involved in the union. As his career developed he went on to be a Job Site Manager. He was passionate about his career and truly enjoyed his working life. Kent was also a very devout Christian and a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 2003. He attended Salem Lutheran Church previously. Kent was always a perpetual optimist and cared selflessly for others. He was above all else a family man. His love and affection for his family was far reaching. He will be missed. Survivors include: two sons, Jamie and Jody Kittel; three grandchildren, Maggie, Cheyenne and Maija Kittel; two brothers, Dennis and Wayne Kittel; and nieces and nephews, Case, Ross, Jonathan, Jeremy and Jessica. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Muehlig Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11 AM at St. John Lutheran Church 2945 E. Northfield Church Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105 with Pastor John P. Gierach officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting generous donations to the American Diabetes Organization and Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
