

Laura Lee DeHaven, age 92, went peacefully home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 13, 1919 in Arlington, VA to Charles Albert and Charlotte May (Musselman) Bruce. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also served in the Salvation Army, Kiwanis Club, and other community organizations. She was the kindest of spirits and thoroughly enjoyed people. Laura Lee is survived by her three children, Marjory Wells, Gary Hann and David Hann; her daughter-in-law Cathy Hann; her 10 grandchildren, McKinley (Jina) Wells and Carmen (Francis) Wells Quigg, David, Christine, Laura, Hannah, Genevieve, Cynthia, Emily, and Shawnna Hann; her 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Bruce, sisters Mollie (Bruce) Walsh and Virginia (Bruce) Hepola, and granddaughter Tamayra Hann. Laura Lee was a loving person devoted to her family, friends and church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 100 Arbana Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 525 East Woodland Drive, Saline, MI.
