

Rogers, Lillian Harriet McMahon died November 8, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born on November 25, 1922 the daughter of Joseph Anthony McMahon and Lillian Harriet Barraclough McMahon in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Lillian graduated from Lawrence High School in 1941. She married John Brown Rogers in 1944 and worked at the various Army Air Force bases where her husband was stationed during World War II. After the war she went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Charter Oak State College (CT) and became a dedicated teacher. Lillian and her husband resided in West Hartford and Greenwich, CT for many years. He preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Rogers moved to Ann Arbor in 1984 where she served as a volunteer at the University of Michigan Hospital Gift Shop and was a substitute teacher in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and became a resident of Glacier Hills 9 years ago. A very loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Rogers leaves behind her daughters, Lucinda (William) Baker and Anne Rogers; grandchildren Matthew (Karin Genevaux) Baker and Sarah (Michael) Baker Ferguson; great grandchildren Chloe and Estelle Baker, and Dahlia and Graham Ferguson. She is also survived by a sister, Clare (Robert) Sawtelle, brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Lillian was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother. Funeral services will be held in Salem, NH. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
