Logan was born on January 22, 1988, to Robin F. and Cheryl A. Risser. He was a lifelong Ann Arborite, attending Emerson School where he would meet many life-long friends. Logan was a star athlete at Pioneer High School in football and lacrosse, as well as an honor-roll student. He attended the University of Wisconsin and Eastern Michigan University, graduating with a Bachelor in Business Administration.
Logan had a large and loving community and was known to all as a warm and caring soul. He saw no strangers - only new friends he was about to meet. A bright, charismatic, and playfully mischievous man, Logan was a fiercely loyal friend who carried love and joy in his heart in the face of conspicuous personal loss throughout his life; losing his mother and father prematurely and suddenly. Kaitlyn Reid was the love of his life. They lived together for many years and planned to marry. Kaitlyn preceded Logan in death in 2019.
Logan was a dedicated hobbyist, avid reader, and lover of music with an encyclopedic knowledge of song lyrics that he would happily recite for you without prompting. He maintained enduring friendships with gaming communities across the nation and pen pals overseas. Logan had a smile and a joke for everyone, and an ear and a shoulder for his friends. Always the Paladin, he was eager to follow any friend into any dungeon. Logan was loved. He will be well missed and fondly remembered. Goodnight sweet prince.
Logan Burk Risser is survived by his Uncle Daniel Thomas (Lynn) Risser, cousin Tara Ashley (Steve) Risser-Ulm, and her children Hayden Thomas Ulm and Chase Evans Ulm and his cousin Douglas Daniel (Michelle) Risser, and his children Lyra Kiele Risser and Luna Corvus Risser. His parents Robin Frank Risser, Cheryl Ann Risser and his grand parents Thomas W. and Eileen G. Risser and Merrel and Tommie Holland and her brother Larry Holland preceded him in death.
The Funeral Service will be at noon on Saturday, January 28th at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 South Fourth Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Visitation is on Friday, January 27th from 4pm to 8pm and again on Saturday, January 28th from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm.
