

Lucinda Regina Lutz of Ann Arbor, Michigan died peacefully on January 4, 2011 at the Evangelical Home of Saline, she was 89 years old. Lucinda was born December 31, 1921 the only child of Emanuel and Amanda Stierle. She married her loving husband and high school sweetheart Lauren on November 25, 1944; sadly he preceded her in death on November 4, 2006. Lucinda and her husband were charter members of the Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was the oldest living member. Lucinda retired from the Ann Arbor Public School system after 25 years of service as a secretary. As well as being a very active member of her church and setting an example of a good Christian woman her family will fondly remember her as a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the times that her family could gather together for holidays. Lucinda also loved and cherished her dogs. She is survived by her devoted children, David (Karen), Mary (Mike) Hollis, Nancy (Jack) Harris and Mark (Carine); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Phillip, Katherine, Luke, Amanda, Ken, Eric, Laura, Matt, Bill and Kristen; great grandchildren, Lauren, Miles, Haley and Cruz; brother and sisters in law, Roland and his wife Elizabeth “Beth”, Wanda Lutz and Mary Ann Dyal; her loving and fury companion, Lady, several nieces and nephews and many friends. A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (1360 Pauline Blvd. Ann Arbor) Pastor Robert Hoepner officiating with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
