Margaret C Bauer

Margaret Clara Bauer (Farrell) age 94 passed away peacefully, September 28, 2012 at Bortz Health Care of Ypsilanti, Michigan. She was born November 6, 1917 in Dexter Township and grew up in Webster Township, to Emmett Patrick Farrell and Clara Amelia (Marsh) Farrell. On December 30,1939, she married Herman Thomas Bauer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter, Michigan. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1984. Margaret was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Margaret worked for K-Mart for many years retiring in 1983. She also volunteered her time to work with some of the mentally challenged individuals in Washtenaw County and also during this time, she crocheted baby blankets for the Fr. Pat Jackson House. Surviving are 2 daughters, Helen L. (Roger) Murrel of Dexter, MI and Deborah Sue Bauer of Hudson MI: three sons, Charles H. (Nada) of Ironwood MI; James J. (Dorothy) of Ishpeming, MI; Richard L. of Saline, MI. Six grandchildren: Steven A. (Lynn) Murrel of Ann Arbor, MI; Katrina A. (William) Orlowski Dexter, MI; Jeffrey A.( Debra) Murrel of Forest Virginia; James (Jill) Bauer of Flint, MI; Joseph Bauer of Ishpeming, MI and Richard J. Bauer of North Stonington, Conn. Ten great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Grace and Christian Orlowski, Caroline and Katelyn Murrel, Zachary, Haleigh and Jackson Bauer, Kaylene and Melissa Bauer, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lori Bott and one great granddaughter, Emily Murrel and also her two sisters and five brothers. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at St Thomas Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday October 1, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Margaret C.
