I first met Mark at staff college, he was one of the instructors. He was so motivating and passionate. He inspired greatness, because he embodied it. He was always willing to give up his time to help someone else. Truly a great person. A humanitarian. A hero. He will be missed.

My prayers & thoughts are with his family & friends. I met Mark back when we were both back in high school. I joined the Civil Air Patrol & Mark was a member . He was easily one of the smartest & most dedicated person in the room. Mark always encouraged me even when everybody else was disappointed in me. I could ask him to explain anything to me and he always did. He had that ability to teach. I lost track of him after we graduated & went our separate ways. I saw him at an airshow & he was working with the Civil Air Patrol. I recognized him right away. He came and gave me a huge hug, met my family and kissed me on the cheek. We later talked on FB. He told me he was proud of my accomplishments. The world has lost a wonderful man. Mark didn't care about where you came from he always made you feel you could be better, & do better. I am honored that I had Mark in my life & was a friend. RIP Mark you will be missed.

Mark was always one to inspire those around him and push you to do your best, even if it made more work for him. If I slacked off on something, he would tick me off it needed just to get me back on track.
