Olivia C Bridges

Bridges, Olivia G. of Ann Arbor, Michigan, formerly of Bossier City, Louisiana died Tuesday, May 24, 2016; she was 94 years old. Olivia was born in Delhi, Louisiana on December 21, 1921 the daughter of Robert and Florence Strong. She graduated from Rayville High School in 1939. Olivia was vibrant, joyful and was often the life of a party, a true southern belle; she was a fun-loving person with a real zeal for life, someone who will truly be missed by the world around her, and all who knew her. She loved to dance and was VERY strong willed. She poured out her love to everyone she knew, especially the last few weeks and days of her life when she could only say “I love you.” Olivia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children; Pat Jones and Bill (Lucia) Campbell, grandchildren; Jeff Jones, Ben and Jim Campbell and three great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and those who knew her. Olivia will be taken to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church to lie in state on Thursday, May 26; from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Olivia will be laid to rest in Haughton, Louisiana.
