Dr. Margolis was a one of my professors at Michigan when I trained there in psychiatry. His lectures were always full of memorable stories and valuable insights. He was very generous and welcomed us all to his home for further discussion. I am glad I was able to work with him. I hope his family is able to come together and support each other during this difficult time.

Please accept Pat’s and my sincere condolences
on Phil‘s passing. We both remember the great times that we had together at WCC functions, particularly the Meadowbrook retreats, and I will miss our conversations about financial markets and philosophies.
If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. He was truly a remarkable man.

Phil Margolis was a great mentor and I am lucky to have been under his tutelage during my residency and fellowship training. Dr. Margolis was perpetually patient, infinitely generous, intensely caring, and an all-around mensch. His gargantuan set of accomplishments and cherished memories from people who love him speak for themselves and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and the Margolis family during this difficult time.

Dear Nancy,
I just found out about Phil’s passing. Phil was just a genuine good guy. You were an amazing wife who kept Phil active and happy until G-d called for one of his angels to return home. May Phil’s wonderful life be a blessed memory to you and the Margolis Family for years to come.

Dear Nancy,

I was so sorry to hear about Phil. I always remember him from the early days at Turner, how kind, helpful and supportive he was. I always enjoyed talking to him and was happy each time I ran into him. I hope you are well. I remember both of you very fondly as some of the outstanding people I knew in Ann Arbor. I'm in Oakland, CA now, near my daughter and her family

All my sympathy to your family and warm wishes,
Ruth Campbell

Phil was my psychiatrist for 25 years. He saved my mental health and was always there for me when I needed him. I loved him, he knew it, and reciprocated that love. He was truly a great man. I used to tease Phil and ask him how guys like us could have such lovely wives. Nancy, Mary and I send our love.
