

Randall Peacock passed away on September 18, 2016, at Arbor Hospice. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on December 18, 1928, the only child of Walter and Lula Peacock. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and earned his BA at Anderson College. He received his master’s degree in History from the University of Michigan and spent his entire career teaching history at Ann Arbor High and then Pioneer High School. If a person can be said to be “called” to a profession, Randy was called to be a teacher. He loved his students and seeing them again at their reunions. He is survived by his wife Janet; his son Douglas of Ann Arbor; son Scott (Tera) of Fort Belvoir, Va.; son Jamie (Karen) of Grass Lake, MI. He leaves also three granddaughters: Morgan, Chloe and Corey, and one grandson Owen. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 10:00AM until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor. Always interested in historical preservation, Randy requested memorial donations be made to the Civil War Trust.
