

Rhiannon Marie Grames, born on March 4, 1997, left this world suddenly on January 10, 2024. Named after the iconic Fleetwood Mac song, she was affectionately known as "witchlet." Rhiannon's vibrant spirit touched the lives of those around her, and her untimely departure leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Rhiannon graduated from Ohio Virtual Academy, showcasing her dedication to education from an early age. She pursued a degree in web design, demonstrating her passion for creativity and technology. Rhiannon was a determined and ambitious individual, always striving to enhance her skills and contribute to the world in her unique way. Rhiannon's love story began in elementary school, when she met Nicolas Kaufman, the man who would become her husband. Their journey together was marked by deep companionship and understanding, leading them to an intimate ceremony on May 22, 2021, where they exchanged vows and started a new chapter as a married couple.
Aside from her academic pursuits, Rhiannon found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a talent for baking, delighting friends and family with her delicious creations. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, a time when her creativity shone through in costume designs and spooky treats. Rhiannon's commitment to community service was admirable. She volunteered as a Zoo Teen at the Toledo Zoo, contributing to the well-being of animals and fostering a love for wildlife. Additionally, she dedicated her time to events like GiveCamp, CodeMash Developer Conference and Alex's Lemonade Stand, showcasing her desire to make a positive impact on the world around her. Known for her infectious energy and vivacious personality, Rhiannon was the life of the party. Her laughter and warmth created cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rhiannon's extroverted personality was reflected in her love for expressing herself through vibrant hair colors, dyeing her locks in a rainbow of hues. This unique and creative expression mirrored the colorful and adventurous spirit that defined her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nicolas Kaufman; her mother, Angel Thomas (Magnus); her father, David Grames; her sisters, Luna Thomas (Jenna) and Mareya Thomas; her maternal grandmother, Terry Thomas; her maternal grandfather, Ken Thomas; her uncle, Jason Thomas (Jilayne); her aunt, Penny Bost (Jennifer); her uncle, Chris Thomas; step grandparents, Jan Stahre and Britt Thurelius; aunt, Mona Bostarius (Nikolaos), and many cousins.
A visitation will be held on February 3, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 South 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Following the visitation, a celebration of her life will commence at 5:00 p.m., where friends and family can come together to share memories and honor the remarkable person that Rhiannon was.
