Robert Emmett O'Connor

O’Connor, Robert Emmett of Ann Arbor, Michigan died Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was 85. Robert was born in Ann Arbor, MI September 28, 1929 the son of Emmett and Natalie O’Connor. He was raised in Ann Arbor and graduated from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School. Upon Graduation he entered the United States Air Force. After his term in the Air Force he entered Eastern Michigan University as an undergraduate and went on to graduate from the University of Michigan Law School. He married Elizabeth “Liz” Meyers in 1964. Robert practiced law here in Ann Arbor for over 30 years, retiring 1991. He was a loving, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife; Elizabeth, children; Erin (Christopher Emch) O’Connor and Cristina (Greg Schultz) O’Connor, grandchildren; Brendan, Shane and Caitlin Emch, sisters; Marguerite Roos and Maryann Kendall. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
