

Probst, Robert (Robbie) J., died peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. Robbie was born on May 13, 1960 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Robert and Margaret Probst. Robbie was a blessing who touched many lives in his 54 years. He loved his family, music and building with his Legos. Anyone who knew Robbie, even for a brief time, will remember his friendliness, inquisitive questions and wonderful sense of humor. Robbie attended Sullivan School, graduated from High Point in 1987 and was a resident at St. Louis Center in Chelsea for 23 years. Proceeded in death by his father, Robert Louis Probst. Survived by his mother, Margaret Probst, siblings Deborah DeFord of Lansing, MI, Laura (Thomas) Lewellen of Highland, MI, Patricia (William) Morgan of Ann Arbor, MI, Mary (Greg) Schwartz of Shelby Twp., MI, Thomas Probst of Gregory, MI and Anne (Jacob) Haas of Chelsea, MI. Robbie is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Robbie’s family will receive friends at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 28 from 4:00 until 7:30 pm. The evening will close with a rosary service and a special musical tribute to Robbie. On Wednesday Robbie will be taken to lie in state at church from 9:15 a.m. until Mass at 10:00 a.m. Following Mass Robbie will be laid to rest in a private family service at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at Muehlig Funeral Chapel at 12:00 noon. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for the tender and loving care given to Robbie.
