Roland Foerg, 69, of Ann Arbor, died August 17, 2014. Born to Ewa Kristwaldt Foerg and Adolf Foerg in Genderkingen, Germany on May 11, 1945, Roland is survived by his wife, Dawn, sons Nathaniel (Tricia) Foerg and Dorian Foerg, and his father Adolf Foerg. He served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. His first career was as a social worker for the Michigan Family Independence Agency. His second career, and his first love, was cooking. Roland shared his extraordinary love of food with all who knew him. He was an established catering chef for many years, working at Katherine’s Catering, Food Art and Zingermans. Roland made magic in the kitchen, to the delight of his guests. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 20 and services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 21 at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 South Fourth Ave.
