Ronald James Yarrington was born to James Edward Yarrington and Thelma Jones Yarrington on July 7, 1948 in Newellton, Louisiana. He was the first child and only child until 1953. He is known by many nicknames including “Baby,” Ross, and Pete. His signature jewelry line was RonnieY. From the time he was a young boy Ann Arbor was his summer haunt. After high school he moved to Ann Arbor to work and attend college.
Pete lived a full life before age 30 some might say. He traveled and Ann Arbor was a premier playground in the 70s. He had no bucket list that he spoke about. He was friendly and made friends everywhere.
Uncle Pete was an involved and interested Uncle to 8 Nieces and 1 Nephew. He also kept track of a dozen great nieces and nephews, three great great nephews and one great great niece. They all checked-in with Pete and he would always push his point when he wanted to. He would also tell on his self. Pete said I had a full life.
As most who knew him know—he loved to take pictures and art in general. He made furniture in high school and as he would remind me “I was in the hole before Crisler Arena went in it and I hunted birds before Briarwood was built.”
Ronnie came to Jesus just as he was in 2001 and leaves three siblings Dalva, Tina and Kenneth and was preceded in death by his parents James and Thelma and sister Robyn. He will be missed by his Aunt Elaine and a host of Yarrington, Jones and Bellows cousins. Visitation for Ronald James will be held on Saturday, December 21 from 5-7pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Avenue Ann Arbor, MI 48104. visitation in Ann Arbor, Michigan and laid to rest in Louisiana.
