

Ronald Elmer Zeeb Age 86, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at University (of Michigan) Hospital. He was born on April 9, 1932 in Ann Arbor, the son of Elmer and Rose (Cender) Zeeb and he lived the vast majority of his time in Ann Arbor. In his youth, he loved playing sports such as baseball, football, basketball, and golf and, as an adult, was a member of bowling and golf leagues. He graduated from Ann Arbor Senior High School in 1950. As a young adult in 1954, he joined the United States Army and served for almost two years. After electing to leave the military he attended Eastern Michigan University to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He pursued a career in retail sales and ultimately became a manager at Jacobson's Department Store. In 1968, he became an instructor of business subjects at Washtenaw Community College, helped to build the core program, and taught students with diverse backgrounds for over 33 years. On August 7, 1971 he married Rose Mary Skipper. They had only one child, David M. Zeeb. Ron continued his education at Eastern Michigan University to earn a Master of Arts degree. He dedicated much of his life to his job and providing for his family. He treasured time off and family vacations. Unfortunately, his wife had an untimely death on April 12, 1994. Ron continued to be a very loving and supportive father for the rest of his life.
The family will receive friends at Zion Lutheran Church for visitation on Friday, April 5th from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. The church is located at 1501 West Liberty Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 6th, at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. James Debner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery located at 300 Sunset Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Heart Association. After the burial, friends and family are invited to a luncheon back at the church.
