

Rosalind Elizabeth Murphy, age 69, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Bortz Health Facility in Ypsilanti, MI after a long illness. Rosalind was born November 10, 1942 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Lincoln C. and Lois E. Murphy (now deceased). She is preceded in death by her brothers Lincoln E. and Keith Llamar Murphy, as well. Rosalind had been a lifelong Ann Arbor resident. She was a 1960 graduate of Ann Arbor High School and attended Cleary Business School in Ypsilanti, MI. She loved televised games of tennis and basketball. But most of all she loved the Second Baptist Church, where she was a lifetime member and sang in the choir. She retired in 1973 from National Bank and Trust in Ann Arbor, MI. Survivors are a sister Gwendolyn; two nieces DeAnna Murphy of St. Louis, MO and Charisse D. Taylor of Ann Arbor, MI; two nephews Gerald Taylor of Ferndale, MI and Adrian Murphy of San Diego, CA. Also, a grand-nephew and two grand-nieces, all of San Diego, CA; a beloved step-grandmother, Winnifred Reynolds of Ann Arbor, MI; a long-time friend Harriet Kerridge of Ann Arbor, MI; and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be a Memorial Going Home Service from the Second Baptist Church 850 Red Oak Road Ann Arbor, MI 48103 on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Family Hour will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service.
