I am making a trip to Ann Arbor and tried to find you to see if we could get together. During my search, I discovered your mom's obituary. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom sounded like a truly lovely person. I remember meeting her and your dad on your porch in Oakland all those years ago. I can also see her your face in hers. Linda and Barb,  My Mom passed the information onto me about your Mom.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I would have loved to have spoken with her about the Sears houses.  My first home was a Sears home and I was only the second owner.  I am sure that would have been a very interesting conversation.

One of the original ambassadors of Big Lake will be remembered and missed in Gaylord and beyond. Sending love and energy to all who mourn this great loss.

I send my condolences.  I worked with Ruth when we both served on the Washtenaw County Historical Society.  She was always a positive, bright light -and a smile that lit up the room.  Her commitment to bringing the area's history to life and to encourage others to take an interest in their community's history had a great impact on me.   She was the original proponent of "placemaking."

Our condolences...she will be missed much.
