November 18, 1933 – December 20, 2020
Sean Woodcock, 87, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Sean was born November 18, 1933, to William & Eileen Woodcock in Skerries, Leinster, Ireland. Sean was driven by his two passions: carpentry & golf. He was a gifted carpenter who could visualize a whole project in only his mind and bring it to completion with skill. Sean was a renowned golfer winning many titles and trophies in England as well as Ireland. After a long day of golfing, Sean enjoyed the 19th hole! His love of reading complimented his amazing wit and intelligence. Sean could always be found puzzling behind a crossword in the paper. Sean was a quiet man but when he spoke his words were those of great importance.
Sean lived three lifetimes' worth of experience & travel. He spent his early years in his home of Ireland and as a young man, moved to England to perfect his golf game. He also would raise a family with his wife, Helen who preceded him in death. But his travels were not complete until he was swept off his feet by Alison who would become the love of his life, and his wife of 25 years. Deeply in love, Sean would once again make a life-changing move to start a fulfilling life in the United States where he and Alison would share years together in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Sean & Alison enjoyed traveling around the United States, and they especially enjoyed Alaska. With Alison by his side, Sean experienced more of his homeland of Ireland with Alison then he had ever seen before. Sean is survived by his wife, Alison Woodcock; son Brian Woodcock; son Paul Woodcock; daughter Sheila Woodcock; and son Peter Woodcock; grandchildren Fionn Woodcock, Niamh Woodcock, Ciara Woodcock, Adam Woodcock, and Iris Hastings. Sean lost his beloved dog, Sadie in August of 2020 when she was 16 years old. A celebration of Sean’s wit will be scheduled at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.muehligannarbor.com for the Woodcock family.

Dear Alison, without you and Sean it would have been an empty world for me when I moved across from you. Sean was a warm, intelligent, and very witty human being whose presence is sorely missed. We will remember him fondly. May he rest in peace.
Condolences to all his family. With beautiful memories, Nora

Dearest Alison, and family,
I am truly saddened to hear of Sean's passing. He had such a grand sense of humor. He dearly loved his family. I will be holding you all close in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. (I miss being at the bank to see you).
