Sondra Gunn

Sondra Moore Gunn of Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 82, died peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at home surrounded by family and her faithful dog Cricket. Sondra was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 20, 1939 daughter of the late Bennett and Inez Mitchell Moore. She married John Gunn on June 21, 1958 who preceded her in death on December 24, 1990. Sondra received four degrees from the University of Michigan and was an Assistant Professor Emerita at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Sondra loved to travel and encouraged friends and family to join her on adventures near and far. In particular, Oaxaca, Mexico held a special place in her heart. She was a good friend and role model with many interests and will be deeply missed by all. Her older brother Ronald Moore preceded her in death on February 1, 2021. She is survived by her two children Susan (Brian Collins) Gunn and Melanie (Rex Frobenius) Gunn; her grandson Griffin Gunn Collins; her sister-in-law Gloria Moore; nephews Kevin (Patty) and Greg (Julie) Moore; and niece Linda Moore (Richard) Ragan. There will be a celebration of her life in the summer of 2022 with details to follow. Contributions may be sent in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Cancer Association.
