It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Wyman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Vicki passed away on June 21st, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, humor, and unwavering integrity. She was a woman of grit, humor, and quiet determination—the kind of person who showed up, rolled up her sleeves, and got the job done, usually with a wry comment that left everyone around her laughing.
Vicki was born on May 25, 1946, in Albion, Michigan, the third of five children born to Kenneth and D’Vera (Washburn) Weaver. Raised on the family farm in Albion, she developed an early appreciation for hard work, perseverance, and the beauty of nature. She often fondly recalled working alongside her father and brother, Wayne, in the fields—raking, baling, and combining—experiences that shaped her lifelong work ethic and practical spirit.
Vicki built a distinguished 30-year career in finance and credit. She was known by her colleagues for her work ethic and steadfast integrity.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Vicki was committed to community and service. As a child, she was an active member of 4-H in Eckford Township and attended Marengo Methodist Church. Her devotion to service continued throughout her life in countless meaningful ways. She served as a den mother for her son’s Boy Scout troop, participated in two investment clubs, played violin with the New Horizons String Orchestra, attended exercise classes at the Meri Lou Recreation Center, and served on a Credit Union Supervisory Committee. She was also the benefactor of the Weaver-Baty Community Pavilion in Albion, a lasting reflection of her dedication to her hometown.
Vicki’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her son, John Wyman (Susan) cherished granddaughter, Anna, step-son Bart Wyman (Joyce) and his daughter Holly; her sisters, Karen Weaver, Dawn Day, and Lynn (Robert Kavetski); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and sister-in-law Kathy Weaver along with a circle of dear friends, neighbors, and former colleagues. She was known to almost never miss one of her granddaughter Anna’s sports games or choir concerts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and D’Vera Weaver, her beloved brother, Wayne Weaver, and step-son, Brent Wyman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of these causes that were close to her heart, Agricultural Endowment Fund at the Albion Community Foundation, the Washtenaw Housing Alliance, or Aid in Milan.
Visitation will be held at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to remain for a reception at the funeral home following the service.
