Vivian Marie Wheeler

Wheeler, Vivian Marie “nee Pilley” passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013; Vivian was born on September 28, 1913 the daughter of Clyde and Mary Pilley in Omaha, Nebraska and was raised in Wolverine, Michigan on her family’s farm. She married Lawrence Wheeler in 1933 and together they moved to Ann Arbor in 1940. She worked for St. Joseph Hospital in the gift shop for over 55 years retiring when she was 90. Vivian was always very active, independent and resilient working in her garden and taking care of her home. She also loved her family very much and leaves behind her four children; Carole (Charles) Glover, Donna Myers, Sally Wheeler, and James and Sharyln Wheeler; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, sister in law; Betty Pilley, and Margery Fogerty. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lawrence. A memorial service will take place at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. until time of the service.
