And … cut.

Many of you know that these past few years have been difficult for Janice and me as I’ve battled with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Together, we’ve endured a series of surgeries, radiation treatments, more surgeries, hormone and chemo therapy and, ultimately Hospice care here at home.

I think we fought bravely and with dignity and with the credo that we were more concerned about the quality of our days together than the quantity of them.

But today, we ran out of time.

We’ve been blessed these past months with the incredible gift of time together. Just sitting-around time. Listening-to-records time. Watching-old-movies time. Building fire time. Such an amazing gift.

Of course, we didn’t do it on our own. As it turns out, we’re surrounded by an incredible network of family and friends, which has offered support, love, kindness ,fire wood, meals, errands, dog care … anything and everything.

And then there’s Hospice. Seriously … the only way to die.

So … no goodbyes. Seems too permanent. Let’s just say, “See you around.”

See you around, everybody!

"Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - We find it with another."

This quote reminds me of Jan and Will. I hope Jan and her family find much comfort and joy in the beautiful life they shared with Will.

I didn't know Will very well; whenever I saw him or talked to him, he was the friendliest, nicest guy. He was Janice's complete soulmate, and I loved seeing them together. My best condolences go out to Will's family. He will be missed. I think he might say" Don't think twice, it's alright" Wendy Fritz

Janice and Family ...
First, let me thank you for sharing Will with many of us in many different opportunities. What a loss for his family, but also for many of us who knew and had the opportunity to do anything with Will. He was always pleasant and kind. My opportunity to get to know Will was during his reporter time and thoroughly enjoyed talking with him on issues. I thank his family for sharing him with us. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. God Bless ....

Such a privilege to have called Will, and to have been called by him, friend by this gentle, multi-talented, incredible man. His energy and light remain with all who knew him, most especially with Janice.
