Our sincerest appreciation for the kind thoughts and memories about our father. Thank you for the consideration and support of our family during this very difficult time of dad's passing. He would be embarrassed by all the fuss, but William B. Treml was a tremendous man, much loved and much missed.

In gratitude, the Treml family

Dear Mrs. Treml and family, My deepest sympathy for the loss of this remarkable man. Bill's devotion to his profession and his family made him very special.
Bill was respected and liked by everyone he encountered as reporter, as evidenced by the tributes from prosecutors, defense attorneys and police officers. His work ethic was impressive. When he came to court in the morning to cover a trial, it was likely that he had already visited all the police stations to learn what had happened the night before.
Behind the thin veneer of cynicism required of a newsman, he was a relentlessly positive person. He could give needle pretty well. He could also take it with that characteristic crooked smile. The smile we all miss.
Bill clearly liked his life and he lived a good one.
It was an honor and pleasure to know him. My thoughts are with the Treml family.

Joe and Family,
Your dad was the "Dad." He always had something interesting to discuss and what great perspectives on anything and everything. He was very patient and always chuckled at our brash acts. What a great person. My prayers are with you and the entire family.

"Scoop" was my all time favorite reporter. As an Assistant Prosecutor for Washtenaw County for twenty years, he covered many of my trials. His reporting was always spot on. My former boss, Bill Delhey, legendary Prosecutor, also held Bill in the highest regard. There will never be another like him. My best to his family.
