Born November 24, 1942, and raised in Legan, County Longford, Ireland, Angie was the daughter of the late Mary Kate and Peter Frawley. Although she made her life in the United States, Ireland remained an important part of who she was. She spoke often of home and returned whenever she could to visit family and lifelong friends and reconnect with the place that shaped her.
Angie dedicated more than 40 years to nursing, caring for patients in Ireland, New York City, and Annapolis. Much of her career was spent at Anne Arundel Medical Center, where she became known for the care and kindness she brought to her work. Nursing was more than a career for Angie—it was a way to help people during some of their most difficult moments.
Angie shared a wonderful life with her husband, Ron Trivane. Their marriage was built on love, friendship and laughter. They enjoyed traveling, sailing on the Severn River, pending time with loved ones, and making memories together. They especially loved visiting their grandchildren, Ella and Tessa, celebrating their milestones and being part of their lives. They also treasured their time in Naples and Sanibel Island, Florida, where they spent many evenings by the beach enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.
While Angie did not have children of her own, she became a second mother to her nieces and nephew, Deirdre (Dan) Toolan, Audrey (Craig) Homis, Fiona (Ian) Hawes, and Peter Frawley. She was always there—offering advice, listening without judgment, and providing encouragement and unconditional love when it was needed most.
Angie’s home was a place where people gathered. The door was always open to family, friends, and sometimes friends of friends. She was known for her crab cakes, good food, great conversation, and making sure there was always room for one more person at the table. Many wonderful memories were made on her deck overlooking the Severn River, sharing meals, stories, sunsets, and time together.
Angie also formed friendships that lasted decades, including friends from nursing school in Dublin. She had a way of maintaining connections and making people feel valued, no matter how much time had passed.
In her later years, Angie lived at Ginger Cove, where she faced Alzheimer’s disease with strength and grace Her family is grateful to the caregivers and staff who provided support and care throughout her journey.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Kate and Peter Frawley, and her brothers, Tony, Gerry and Noel Frawley.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Trivane; her stepchildren, Brett Trivane and Jennifer (Doug) Brinsmade; her grandchildren, Ella and Tessa Brinsmade; her brother, Patrick (“Packie”) Frawley and sister-in-law, Sally; her nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends who will remember her with love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association to support research, care, and efforts to find a cure. www.alz.org
