Anna Lee Cannon, 96, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Anna was preceded in death by her parents Ernest F. Harrell and Madie Lee (Abrams) Harrell, her husband of 34 years Franklin E. Cannon, her brothers Jonas B. Harrell, Ernest B. Harrell and John W. Harrell, her son Ernest F. Cannon, and one grandson. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jonas Gene Cannon (Ruby) of Sun Valley, AZ, Joyce Geri Parkinson (Bob) of Coral Springs, FL and Peggy L. Burl (Warren) of Las Vegas, NV. Anna is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was born in Crisp, NC and was a long-time resident of Annapolis (Eastport) before relocating to Nevada. Anna was a dedicated nurse and retired from the Anne Arundel Medical Center after 17 years of service. She then devoted her nursing skills to the residents of the Ginger Cove Life Care facility for 6 years. Anna was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star #46 and Annapolis Cedarettes #126. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Eastport in Annapolis for 56 years and was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV. Anna loved life, traveling, playing games and cards. She loved all of her family members and cherished her friends and would refer to them all as her greatest gifts in life. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, in Annapolis. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 21st at the funeral home. Interment will be immediately following the funeral at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1911 Forest Drive.
