

Anne Connellee Johnson passed away on August 6, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born to Mildred and Douglas Connellee on October 15,1942 in Elkton, Maryland, she was a beacon of light, warmth, and energy in the community she dearly loved.
Anne was the older sister to Susan Connellee Orr and the late Richard Connellee. Anne married her beloved husband Tillman Johnson on May 23, 1964 marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love and devotion.
A graduate of Elkton high school and the University of Miami, Anne worked at Children’s Hospital for many years. After raising her daughter, Whitney and son, Tillman she worked as a legislative aide in the Maryland House of Delegates.
Her commitment to the Annapolis community was evident through her volunteer work in the Junior League of Annapolis and the Garden Club of Annapolis. She was committed to enriching the education of underprivileged children in the Annapolis community by volunteering her time as a tutor and participant in the Backpack Buddies program at Green Street Elementary school.
Anne’s love extended to her two children, Whitney (Andy) Odenwald, and Tillman (Ruta) Johnson. Her four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Eliza, Tillman, and Merrick who will carry on her legacy of kindness and joy.
Predeceased by her parents Mildred, Douglas, and brother Richard, Anne’s memory will be kept alive by her loving husband of 60 years, Tillman, her children, grandchildren, sister Susan, and a community that was better for her presence.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Anne Connellee Johnson will be held at St Anne’s Episcopal Church, Church Circle Annapolis on August 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Anne’s favorite charity, Back Pack Buddies of Anne Arundel County or St. Anne’s Parish of Annapolis, MD.
