

Athena Katsereles Lambros, age 83, died January 2nd, 2015, she was born August 21, 1931 in Annapolis, MD to William & Christina Katsereles. She retired from the State of Maryland in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, singing, cooking, painting, and creating beautiful art. Her children thought of her as the “Greatest Mom in the World”. Loving mother to Margaret Ann Connor (Greg), John Lambros (Kim) & William Lambros. She was predeceased by her infant son John Basil Ladas and her siblings, the late Beatrice Adviotis, Anna Sakers, Golfie Bounelis, and Charles Katsereles. She is also survived by her sister Ethel Hayes, godchild, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends and family on Sunday January 4th at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD, between 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday January 5th at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD, at 10:30am. Burial at St. Demetrios Cemetery.
