Born December 22, 1935 in Annapolis, she was the daughter of the late Charles M Williams Sr and Lillian Moreland Williams. Audrey graduated from Annapolis Senior High and completed multiple college courses to aid in her teaching career. She was a teacher’s assistant at Hillsmere Elementary School for over 30 years.
Audrey was an avid reader and traveler, willing to go anywhere at a moments notice. Her favorite destinations included beaches with plenty of shells, sharks teeth and of course family & friends close by. Audrey was a member of Eastport United Methodist Church, Methodist women’s club, enjoyed playing bells with the church ensemble and was always happy to go out for a bite or to play cards. Her children frequently joked that they needed to get on her social calendar to see her.
In addition to her parents, Audrey is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years James “Tom” Thomas Howard, her son Lieutenant James Thomas Howard Jr, and her son William Alan Howard.
She is survived by her son Wayne M. Howard and his wife Holly of Linthicum; daughter, Dawn Dulaney Goodnow of Pasadena; two sisters Jean Strucko and Harriet Macey, both of Annapolis, and one brother Charles Williams of New Jersey, seven grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Brandon, Amanda, Rebecca, Kaitlyn and Allison and four great-grandchildren, Bennett, Lily, Brooks, and Daisy.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday November 14, 2022 at the Eastport UMC, 926 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, where funeral services will be held at 1p.m., Tuesday, November 15.
