It is with great sorrow to announce Charles “Michael” Bradshaw passed on
Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama March 11, 1945. He was
the Son of Charles Bruce Bradshaw and Margaret Kathleen Franklin Bradshaw.
Michael Bradshaw contributed to both Community and Country. He was a
practicing attorney with law offices in Crofton and Annapolis, MD. He graduated
magna cum laude from Potomac School of Law, Washington, DC. receiving a Juris
Doctorate degree in 1982. He became a licensed attorney in the States of Montana
and Maryland. Both Michael and Gail resided in Missoula, MT prior to Michael
practicing law in MD. He received a MA in Criminal Justice from George Washington
University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mobile College, Mobile, Alabama. In
addition, he taught law as an adjunct professor at Prince George’s Community College,
Anne Arundel Community College, and Howard County Community College.
As a veteran in the armed forces, he served as an officer in the United States
Army as a helicopter pilot for the 1st Cavalry during Vietnam and also as a tank
commander with the 1st Armored Division while stationed in Germany.
He became a United States Capitol Police Officer from1973 to 1980.
He is survived by his loving wife Gail Erb Bradshaw of Crofton, MD. They were
happily married for 36 years. Also survived by his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Charles
and Jean Erb of Toms River, NJ, Brother-in-law Charles Erb and Teresa Erb of New
Egypt, NJ. Sisters Kaye Bradshaw Costello of Melbourne, FL., Carol Bradshaw Burns
and husband Patrick Burns of Huntsville, AL., Nephew Bryan Scott Hill of Bristow, VA.,
Niece Ashley Kaye Hill of Huntsville, AL. along with many nieces, nephews, cousins,
great nieces and great nephews.
Memorial Gathering is scheduled July 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the John M.
Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401. In lieu of
