I’ve been thinking a lot about her today and the more I think about her, memories come flooding back. Like the first time I saw her in kindergarten when we were going row by row to get crayons. It must have been the first couple of days of school because she was crying and I was crying. We looked at each other and we were friends from then on. We were also neighbors in the early years. She lived on Stepney and I lived on McDonald Ave. There was a piano down in her basement. She taught me how to play “If a Woodchuck could chuck wood” 😂 . We would play “Young at Heart” and dance to it. One day we had decided to have a “dance recital.” She had two costumes from ballet class and I had one. Hers were prettier. We would practice our dance and the day of our “recital”she surprised me by wrapping up her prettiest costume for me! So many more memories of a sweet friend!
