Dolores Theresa “Sis” (Fischer) Anderson, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2018 in Crownsville, MD. She was born on December 12, 1932 in Annapolis, MD. She enjoyed reading, watching WWF wrestling, word search puzzle games and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful afghans over the years.
Dolores worked as a waitress, most recently at K-Mart in Annapolis before retiring. Customers and Co-workers there knew her fondly as “Ralph”. Her home was always open and she never turned anyone away if they happened to show up at mealtime. She loved to cook and canned fruits and vegetables grown on the family farm for many years. No one ever left her house hungry. And who could forget her making green bread on St. Patrick’s Day!
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Annapolis and the Colts Corral #23 before the Colts left Baltimore.
When she was unable to care for herself Dolores was taken care of compassionately and with love at the Golden Arms Assisted Living facility close to her home in Crownsville.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Paul H.
