

Dorothy was a native of Annapolis, Maryland and a graduate of Annapolis High School. She was the daughter of Carl and Cecilia Alton. She married the late Rudolph Nash, Sr. in 1960. They raised a family of not just their own five children, but she was a second mother to her younger siblings and many other family friends.
Dorothy worked as a fiscal clerk for the State of Maryland for over 20 years. She was known as an avid reader, she enjoyed tennis and making ceramics, but Dorothy especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children Rudolph (Shawna) Nash Jr., David Nash, Daniel Nash, Barbara (Timothy)Totis, and Tonya (Timothy) Zotter. Her grandchildren include Christopher, Vincent, Nicholas, Julia, Jacob, Joshua, and Jeremy, as well as two great-grandchildren Addison and Connor. She is also survived by her siblings Jimmy, Teresa, Janet, Joe, Richard, Myrtle, and Denise.
Friends and family may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. 147 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Thursday January 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday January 8 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 620 N. Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD. Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in New Bern, NC.
