I met Jerry and Bob and Mary and Jack through a Honky Tonk Bar called the Suburban where my brother played with the Gatlin Brothers. I was introduced to Mary and almost instantly we became the best of friends. I spent many nights at their home after football games and vice versa. Our family became friends. Jerry became like a second mom to me, even going as far as dragging me by the hair when i went to Geneva On The Lake with them for family vacation and me and Mary snuck out when we shouldnt have. sorry Mary! But her mom never stayed mad and always had worn a smile gracefully even when you knew there were times that she wasnt okay. Mary and i still stay in contact to this day and she will forever remain a great friend! I still remember you living next to your grandma and we would spend time there. Jerry was such a kind soul and had such a beautiful personality. She was beautiful inside and out! My deepest condolences to the entire family in this loss of a beautiful woman! Heaven definitely gained another Angel! Love Always, Stacy and Skylar

I met Jerry’s son Jack in Kindergarten and her daughter Mary was very good friends with my older sister growing up. The Heitgers always made you feel right at home when you came to their house, to the extent I stopped over even after Mary was moved out of state and Jack was in the Air Force. I stopped over to see Jerry a few times to check on how Jack was doing. Sat at the kitchen table talking to Bob and Jerry about all the latest things going on so they could fill Jack in. They’d share with me his letters. Jerry was always funny, sweet and joyful with me. I enjoyed her company. I remember her always smiling and loving my funny stories. She was the kind of person who’d hug and kiss you goodbye a few times. She was a warm person. My deepest condolences go to Mary, Jack and their entire family. God Bless you all. 😘
