Born in Annapolis Maryland to William and Lillian Coughlin. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Helen Coughlin, and his aunts, Jean Coughlin and Clare Kimball due to the death of his mother. A proud graduate of St. Mary's High School, he later served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he built a successful career as a civil engineer.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret, and is survived by his sons Timothy, Robert, Dennis, Chris, and Ronald Coughlin; his daughter, Kari O'Donnell; nine grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral home,147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on December 21, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and again from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church,109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401, on December 22, 2025, at 10:30 am.
The burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, West Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Mary's Church, designated for the benefit of the Athletic Association in honor of Tick Coughlin.
