

Jo Alison Andrews (née Stonerock) passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 1st, 2026, in Annapolis, MD. Jo was born to George and Olive Stonerock on February 6th, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio. She married Robert Andrews in October, 1958.
Jo was an avid writer and reader, and was known for her caring generosity and always going out of her way to help others. A devoted animal lover, her home usually had a busy mix of cats, dogs, and birds. Over the years, Jo lived in Massachusetts, Vermont, New York City (her favorite), Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. While living in Vermont, she brought her warmth and love of books to the community through her work at the Woodstock Elementary School and the Norman Williams Public Library. She was pivotal in helping revive the Paramount Theater in Rutland.
Jo is survived by her husband, Robert; her brother, Greg Stonerock; her sons, Jeff (Heather), Mark, and Steven (Alice); her son-in-law John Gabbeitt, four grandchildren, Robert Andrews, Andrew Gabbeitt, Kaitlin Gabbeitt, and Ethan Andrews, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved daughter, Teri.
