
Kathleen Mary Hallman, 70, passed away peacefully in her Annapolis, MD home on October 22, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Arlington, VA to George and Margaretta O’Grady on December 19, 1945, she was a devoted mother of six children, an avid gardener and a passionate advocate for children and families during her long tenure with the State of Maryland, DSS, Child Protective Services. Raised in the Philadelphia, PA area, she took up residence in MD with her former husband, Robert Hallman to raise her own family. Later, she was very proud of her little house in Eastport, MD with its backyard secret garden – a favorite gathering place for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Rick O’Grady. She is survived by her brothers Stephen and Thomas O’Grady, and sister Alicia Brawn. Kathleen is also survived by her six children, Robert, Kate, Jennifer, Tracy, Michael and Sara. Additionally, she leaves behind ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, Annapolis, followed by interment at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
