Leopoldo Louis Salazar Jr.

Leopoldo Louis Salazar, Jr., Beloved husband of Angeles Salazar and loving father to Catherine, Barbara, John and Patrick passed away on February 6, 2015. A 22 year Navy veteran of surface and submarine service, he worked as a defense contractor at Goddard Space Center for several years, and lately for Koniag Security. He was a longtime Annapolis area resident and a devout Catholic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially watching his grandson Ryan’s sporting activities. He was an avid reader, art enthusiast, animal and nature lover who also enjoyed fishing, sports, and playing classical guitar. His sister Gloria Salazar of Arizona and brother Dan Salazar in Texas survive him. Friends may call on Thursday, February 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake in his memory.
