Maria was born in Madrid, Spain on January 4, 1965 and moved to the United States at the age of nine.
Her favorite band in the world was U2. One of her happiest memories was attending their concert in Saint-Denis, France with tickets her husband Tom had bought for her as a gift.
She is survived by her husband Tom Steele of Annapolis and her daughter Mara of Portsmouth, RI. She will be missed greatly.
