Marion Beyer Rogers
June 26, 1928 – July 1, 2018
Marion Elaine (Beyer) Rogers, 90 of Severna Park, Maryland and late of Venice, Florida passed away Sunday July 1st, 2018 at home. Marion was born June 26th, 1928 to the late Adolph (Al) and Therese (Daur) Beyer in Roselle Park, New Jersey. She is a graduate of Roselle Park High School and Bethany College. On October 16, 1954 she married the late Richard Earl Rogers of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Marion was an English teacher and a Girl Scout leader. As a business woman, she co-owned a craft consignment shop for several years. She was an avid tennis player and sailor. She loved painting, stenciling, theorem painting, Judge Judy, feeding the birds, gardening, cheesecake for breakfast, a really sharp cheddar,dark chocolate and red wine in the afternoon. Marion was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Historical Society for Early American Decoration.
She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with her companion, the late William Gilday. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Gunnie, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She will be remembered for her quick wit and her ability to make lasting friends wherever she went. “If you can’t laugh, you’re in trouble.” Marion is survived by her daughters Cathy (David) Bader of Nashville, Tennessee and Carolyn Rogers of Severna Park, Maryland. Also survived by grandchildren John (Maren) and William Bader and Zubin Pancholi, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, companion, and sister Ruth Osbahr. The family will have a private service.
