Martha Ann Mackall

Martha Ann (Rambo) Mackall passed away from COVID-19 on December 29th, 2020 in Annapolis, Maryland at the age of 87. Martha was born in East Palestine, Ohio to Mildred and Wilbur Rambo. Martha loved her family more than anything else in the world. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to many, even to those who were not related to her. Martha will be remembered for her warm smile, her strong bear hugs, her generosity, and her selfless devotion to others. She had a special way of lifting up those around her. Martha had an extraordinary singing voice. She was the soloist at her church and a popular wedding soloist from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Martha is survived by her daughter Valerie (Kevin) Barry, her grandchildren Ashley (Michael) DiLernia and Andrew Barry, and her sisters Jean Rapp and Peg Howell. She is predeceased by her husband Carl Mackall and her brothers Jack Rambo, Jim Rambo, and Bob Rambo.

A virtual memorial service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Research & Prevention Foundation.

I am so honored to know Aunt Martha she is Rachel and Dave’s aunt , my neighbors ! what a beautiful lady i’m so sorry that she is gone but she left her mark on this earth like no other. I call her Aunt Martha because she made me feel like family ! I am truly grateful that I knew her. I’m sending my condolences to the whole family may she Rest In Peace
